MacRepertorys
design is as familiar as your desktop, so you begin working
right away. But now you can point, click, and zoom your way
through a complex case in seconds. The proof is in the puddingMacRepertory
has been very successful. It is used by virtually every school
and major homeopathic clinic in the U.S., 80% of American
computerized homeopaths and more than 5,000 homeopaths worldwide.
Once youve used MacRepertory to analyze a case youll
know why every other homeopathic program has attempted, unsuccessfully,
to copy our design.
THE
CHALLENGE TO HOMEOPATHY
If you are like most homeopaths you really struggle when analyzing
your cases. You have to find the perfect rubrics in the repertory,
examine each remedy in the rubrics, count up the totals for
each of the hundreds of remedies in the case and then sort
through dozens of possibilities in the materia medica. While
every patients case is unique, they all have one thing
in common: a great deal of your time is spent working with
the symptoms. But it doesn't have to be that way.
The
power of computers is making sense of vast amounts of information
just what homeopathy needs to become more precise and
effective.
With
MacRepertory you can do everything you might want with your
patients information. Quickly collect all of the rubrics
(in the process discovering that exact symptom from an obscure
repertory.) Complete a full repertorization from a dozen different
points of view. Find every occurrence of a word or remedy
in the repertory. Verify your prescription in a score of materia
medicas. Print the case or a graph of the analysis for the
patient's chart. Store the information for future research,
reevaluation or to share with a colleague. All in a couple
of minutes.
You
don't want to spend a lot of time studying computer programs
and we don't think you should have to. A computer program
should work the way that you do, not force you to work its
way.
MacRepertory
was designed by classical homeopaths and graphic artists,
as well as computer programmers, so it actually works the
way that you'd want it to. Because of this, MacRepertory feels
so familiar that using it is a snap. Even if you have no prior
computer experience within an hour of receiving the program
youll be analyzing cases its that simple!
We
created an easily understandable visual layout for MacRepertory
using pictures of objects that youll have no trouble
recognizing, like chart folders and books. Youll browse
through a repertory on the screen that is just like the book
on your desk, only better. And by using the computers
mouse you dont have to type in the rubrics.
Move the pointer to a major rubric and click the mouse; the
subrubrics will appear. A flick of the wrist enters the rubric
and remedies into the analysis. MacRepertory gives you great
ideas for remedies and does it in a way that is friendly and
intuitive. It simply and elegantly eliminates the hours and
uncertainty that are usually associated with homeopathy. We,
and nearly everyone who has ever used it, believe it is the
premier tool for homeopathic study and prescribing.
EVERYTHING
YOU'LL NEED
A repertorial program is only as good as its sources. With
MacRepertory you dont have to wonder if the rubrics
you need are included. Theyre all here. We have included
the best repertories of the past (Allen, Boericke, Boenninghausen,
Clarke, Kent, Knerr, Roberts and Ward) and the most exciting
repertories of our times (the Complete, Richardson-Boedler
Bach and Murphy repertories and Eizayagas Algorithms).
Our 20 repertories have hundreds of thousands of reliable
rubrics not found in Kent.
We think you'll eventually need all of these repertories as
they each have a unique value. The Complete is the world's
largest and most accurate repertory. Knerr is richest in concomitants.
Boericke is best for focused prescriptions with rare remedies.
Ward includes the most sensations. Murphys Medical Repertory
was designed to be easier to use. Eizayagas Disease
Algorithms lists medical diagnoses with associated rubrics
from Kent.
Our
27 materia medicas include the world's best collection of
succinct remedy descriptions. Everything from Boericke, Phatak,
and Clarke to Morrison, Scholten and Vermeulen. Our wealth
of materia medica make it easy to confirm your prescription.
MacRepertory educates you on the source of the remedies, the
original authors and the botanical, mineral or animal family
to which they belong.
LEARNING
THROUGH THE REPERTORY
One of the best ways to learn materia medica is to study the
repertory! Using MacRepertory you can instantly collect every
rubric that contains a particular remedy. Perhaps you want
to see every delusion of Stramonium five seconds later
you have a full list. It's a great way to learn what is unique
about a remedy. Or find every rubric where the remedy is in
a particular grade. Or where two remedies (or 3, 8 or 50)
appear together. Or discover the main symptoms of a group
of remediesany time that three spiders occur together,
etc. You can also find any word in the repertory instantly.
ANALYZING
THE CASE
To collect rubrics for the analysis, just point the mouse
at the rubric and click. Choosing rubrics is so fast that
you could select 20 symptoms in less than a minute. If you
get a call from someone suffering from a migraine you can
collect their symptoms as quickly as they describe them to
you! Another click and the rubrics are analyzed.
The purpose of an analysis on the computer is to help you
make a wellsupported, inspired prescription by suggesting
every likely remedy, no matter how rarenot to tell you
what to do.
We've
given you the information you'll need to prescribe the most
precise remedy. There are a variety of flexible analysis strategies
that emphasize small remedies, "strange, rare & peculiar"
symptoms, keynotes, symptom strength or the number of rubricsthis
gives you dozens of interesting viewpoints. And there are
an assortment of easily understandable graphs to display them.
CONFIRMING
THE PRESCRIPTION
Once you've narrowed the case down to a handful of remedies
MacRepertory gives you the information you need to confirm
your ideas. Just press on an arrow to walk through the materia
medica for the top remedies in the graph. Quickly switch between
materia medica, examine the repertory extractions for the
remedies or use our built-in confirmatories (with more than
1500 remedies, it is the broadest materia medica available).
